Bulgaria Flag

The national flag of Bulgaria was first adopted on April 16, 1879 after the Russo-Turkish War when Bulgaria gained independence.  It consists of three equal horizontal stripes.  The white and red colors are from the flag of Russia, the green is a representation of agriculture and greenery of the country.
