Italy Flag Meaning - There is some confusion as to the origin of the three-stripe Italian flag.  One version states the colors of the flag may have been based on military uniforms from Milan.  Another suggests Napoleon Bonaparte replaced the blue of the French flag with green simply because he liked the color.
