Miniature Austria Flag

Silk-like flags measure 4" x 6"  and are securely attached to 10" black staffs topped with gilt spears.  All four sides are sewn.  Bright colors.  They are perfect for everything from long term desk display to parade and celebration giveaways.

Dating back to 1230 AD, this flag was first used in the Babenberg Dynasty.  The legend and myth behind this flag is remarkable.   Legend has it that the flag was designed by Duke Leopold V during the Siege of Acre. During the battle he was wounded and his most beloved white coat was stained red with his blood, creating a pattern on his coat that he then decided would be a magnificent flag.
